When I’m the only photographer at a wedding I of course situate myself where I can get the best shots.
Normally, when a bride begins her walk down the aisle with her father, I’m in the back of the church creating images of her entrance. As she passes, I step into the isle to capture her walking down the aisle.
In the image above, I had assigned the second shooter to capture the back of the dress as she walked to the alter.
I had found a challenging composition above. Shoot too soon and their faces are covered by the flag. Shoot too late and their faces are lost in the confusion of the windows.
